Judging by my previous post, it seems it’s been over 2 months since I’ve completed a game. 1 reason for this is because I’ve had little free time, another reason is there are just so many great games out, and not enough time to complete them. I think this shows just how good Batman: Arkham City was, I sat, I played, I never got bored, and just completed it. Now I use the term “completed” loosely, as in, I finished the main storyline and some of the side quests, but I’ve still got so much to do (currently on 46% completion)
So…your Batman, and Hugo Strange is making a mess of Arkham City, and it’s your job to stop him. Unfortunately it’s not that easy, as you run into most of your enemies throughout the game. These include the Riddler, Two Face, Bane, the Joker, and many many more.
The game plays very much like the first, it’s an open world environment which you spend you time picking up missions, side quests, solving Riddlers puzzles, taking out Joker teeth, popping joker balloons, and smashing penguin statues. All of which give you xp to spend on upgrades to your gadgets, combat, or various characters outfits.
As usual I’m not going to give you any spoilers, but the story is an absolute roller coaster, the visuals and the audio are flawless, and storytelling is out of this world, I was gripped all the way through it. I would have loved to have spent a lot more time in this game, however it’s just the wrong time of the year, hence why I opted for the main story. The game does however allow you to free-roam at the end of the game so you can get back in to complete all the side quests.
If you have the slightest interest into the Batman universe, go buy this game !
