Now I’ve not really enjoyed the last couple of DLCs , they just felt rushed. This however has been many months in the making, and it really shows.
The story basically goes like this. Claptrap (the one from the title screen, the one you first meet in the game), has decided enough is enough, and he’s going to revolt, however he’s not just doing it on his own, he’s drafting all the other claptraps within the game.
The game starts as all the other DLC has, you’ll have a new fast travel location (Tartarus Station). Basically this is the central hub to 6 other locations, Hyperion Dump, Sander’s Gorge, Scorched Snake Canyon, Wayward Pass, Dividing Faults and a backdoor to the starting area Arid Badlands.
There are a handful of new enemies (well, not really new, more revamped), each enemy has been made into a cyborg type character, each of which want to kill you.
I’ll try and be spoiler free, but as you run through the game, you bump into a lot of old enemies, all of which have been brought back to life and made into a cyborg…so basically if there are any previous bosses you didn’t like, your probably not going to like this.
Now the only problem I had with this, is there are no vehicles, meaning I spent the most of my time running.
The game itself seemed pretty fast paced, but seemed to still take me around 6 hours to beat, and it was much fun finally shutting up the claptraps 🙂
All I can say is the end of DLC boss was a right beast, and took me out many many times.
Really enjoyed this DLC, and makes me want to get back into the game to finish off my 2nd runthrough.
For 800 points, it’s well worth it.
Approx Time taken to beat – 6hours
