The latest DLC from Bioware for Dragon Age is Leliana’s Song. This attempts to fill in some back story of Leliana (the rogue).
During the main Dragon Age game you have the option to have Leliana join your possie and assist you through the game. You find Leliana in Chantry in Lothering seeking refuge.
So, how did she get there your probably not asking….well this DLC fills in the back story.
You play the DLC as Leliana, and your a female bard mixed up in a criminal ring that deals in political secrets. You start in Denerim with with you 2 side kicks, Tug (a dwarven warrior) and Sketch (a elven mage). You do a series of very easy quests for your mentor (Marjolaine), which leads to a climax (if you can call it that).
Now one thing that they’ve introduced in this DLC is fully voice acting (instead of just being subtitled), however they couldn’t have picked a worse characture to test this out on as the voice actor that plays Leliana, has the most annoying accent ever….it’s sound like watching an episode of ‘ello ‘ello. The downside of this, is if you have to replay any parts, and skip the dialog, you have to wait for the alloted time to pass before you can move on.
I didn’t really care for the story or Leliana, there nothing new in this, and at 560 points for 2 hours play is a little steep, especially if you compare it to the likes of Mass Effect 2 : Overlord. I really hope they don’t attempt to cash in and do the backstory on every characture.
On the upside, this was a very easy 100 points for doing the 3 achievements within the game.
Approx Time taken to beat – 2hours
