To be honest, I wasn’t blown away by Operation: Anchorage, as you can probably tell from my previous post, so wasn’t really expecting too much from The Pitt. I was however pleasantly surprised to find this was really good.
As with Operation: Anchorage, you need to play this before completing the main story concludes, otherwise you’ll have to load a previous save.
Once you acquire the DLC, you’ll have a new radio signal to investigate, coming from a dude called Wernher, he’ll inform you that he was a slave at ‘The Pitt’ which is the remains of Pittsburgh, and needs you to go up against the guy running the place and steal the cure for mutations.
As usual I want to be spoiler free, so that’s about all I’m going to tell you about the story, I will however say that this a solid DLC. The Pitt has some great visuals, some great enemies, and a handful of new weapons.
The DLC only took me a couple of hours to beat, however enjoyed every minute of it, it ranges from normal conversations, to arena battles, to one hell of a morality choice (which I actually paused the game and pondered for a few minutes).
There are only 3 trophies in this DLC, 2 silvers and a gold, however you can’t miss them.
As with Fallout 3 in general, the game is glitchy and crashed my PS3 twice, so again save often. I did notice quite a strange glitch, when I got all my gear back, all my power armour was missing….I had to reload a previous save and try again, however despite these glitches, a good old 5/5 for this, and hope the remaining 3 DLC’s keep it up.
Approx Time taken to beat – 2 hours
Difficulty setting – Normal
Score – [Rating:5/5]
